Sunday pure strength work. Planning on hitting conditioning on Mon, Tue, and Wed of this week so I just wanted to get some straight strength in from the new rack.
1. Low Bar Back Squat: 5-5-5-5-5
225, 235, 245, 245, 245
Notes: First time doing squats from a rack in years. Felt good to be able to do this again.
1b.After each set: 5 strict chin ups.
Notes: These have improved a ton just in the last week. Working towards consistent muscle ups with this weekly.
2.Strict Press: 3-3-3-3-3
95, 115, 125, 125, 125
Notes: Felt good doing these from a rack again. I’m pleased with how these felt since I haven’t done any overhead work in a while.
2b.After each set: false grip work. Hang from pull-up bar from wrists. First time I’ve been able to put my full weight on it. Felt good! Lots of improvement in just a week here.
For not having worked from a rack in 2+ years I’m pleased to be able to hit those squats with solid form. Mobility felt good. Everything felt good.
